After installing Google Earth, and resetting the res to 1280x1024 the closeups were still fuzzy. Is this why a 3d card is recommended? Am using am Intel D865GBF w/ Intel Pentium 4 3.0gHz CPU and its onboard graphics. What is a good 3d card to get? I dont need a high end card. Thanks.

I don't believe that is caused by the card but rather by the images themselves. They pixelate.
