look at this opening price below on price watch on the new 3.06 intEl pentium cpu. this is got to be the highest price i ever seen for a new cpu comming out on the market, you got to be kiding intEl nobodys going to pay such a high price.

Yeah I was looking at my usual stockist and they've got them on pre-order for about the same price. Hyperthreading or not, it ain't cheap. Then again the newer Northwood P4's on the 533FSB are quality. I'm hoping that these newer chips will drop the price of the 2.8's as I'm planning to get a 2.8 and hopefully overclock to 3ghz. Either that or go AMD.......

im a AMD fan in the smaller cpu's for price only, but i have to say intels got a better price deal for a 2.8 at $ 377.00 currently and AMD 2700 runs about $344.00 not much of a deal, go with the intel 2.8 if i where you.
