Hello, I've been having video problems with my monitor unable to come out of powersave mode. I reset the video card and memory and had about one day of normal performance before the problem returned. Now, on boot-up, I hear three beeps. I've replaced the video card with a GeForce FX 5500 (an uograde from previous) and I'm still getting the three beeps. I can't even get to the point where I want to load the new driver because the screen is blank. Monitor seems fine as when disconnected, the self-test "lost signal" message is clear. Anyone have an idea? Thanks

We need to know what BIOS chip set you have. For instance, in AMI three beeps means base 64K RAM failure, in Award anything over two beeps means memory failure, In IBM three long beeps means keyboard failure.
Go to http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm to look them up. But you will need a little more information than you gave us.
Good luck.
Bob
After all is said and done, there's a whole lot more said than done.
