3 short beeps = memory problem
3 long beeps = keyboard problem
1 long, 2 short beeps = video problem

My guess is you're not fully seating the memory in the slot. You have to push down firmly until it clips in place.

I also have an Intel board and jam is correct, 3 short beeps is a memory problem. I would check the Intel website to see if your memory is compatible with your motherboard. Just because you have the right speed memory does not always mean the memory is compatible, I learned that the hard way with my Intel DX48BT2 motherboard.

Look at the ram modules. At each end you'll see white (usually) latches. They should be locked into the little notches on the ram. Try removing the ram and reseating them. Push gently but a. Little hard. You should hear a slight pop when their seated right. Also try defaulting the bios. That will reset the ram settings.
