2nd harddrive

Hi I have 2400xp Amd computer with 120gigs of harddrive space, i just recently bought a new 160gig harddrive and its showing up as 38 thats a problem, I have the 160 set up as a secondary slave to the 120 because i have a lot of music files on the 120 gig harddrive any answers would greatly help, Thank you

make sure the jumpers are setup to not limit the drive to 38 gig, also check with your HDD manufacturer and see if they have a program that enables larger disks. There is a maxtor utility but ive never tested it with any other brands of HDDs.

thank you, how do you set jumpers so that they won't be limited, and also I just did an analysis of my computer and it says on the 160g hdd I have 153 usable space, and the other I have 84 which is pretty much exactly right, so how do I get it to sjow on my system, also thank you again

Have XP Sp1???? If yes..then you need a IDE controller card since your mobo can't support larger than 137GB. About jumper...you can take a look around the hard drive..they have picture showing you how to set jumper.
