|Hi, I have a San-Disk 2 GB card that, until a few days ago, worked absolutely fine. Yesterday, I put it in the card drive of my laptop (which is Windows 7), expecting Windows Explorer to pop up so I could access my files. However, nothing came up. The "Computer" window only showed my internal hard drive and my DVD drive--it was like the SD card was not plugged in. I tried using an external USB card reader, and got the same results. |
So I tried plugging the card into this computer, which is Windows XP. The card shows up in the "My Computer" window, but when I try to open it, the computer sits there for a few minutes loading, then shows a message that says it failed to open because of an I/O error.
This SD card has highly important files saved to it--it could cost me my job, actually. And I, stupidly, didn't yet have backups made of most of them. I need to get this card to work, or recover the files somehow. I'm desperate!
