I recently bought 2 1GB DDR Ram 400Mhz sticks of the internet to put in my Socket 754 Motherboard (Asus K8V-MX) though trying to put just 1 or both in causes the computer not to boot at all (i.e. nothing appears on the screen). I originally had 256MB Ram in each slot.
The motherboard says it supports 1GB in each slot.

Does the mobo manual list recommended memory ??
