Comment: I have a 29inch sony crt tv about a foot and a half from my computer. would this cause any interference???

Are you having problems you think may be caused by interference?

Reply: (edit)More likely that the PC would cause interference to the TV. Then of course game shows can cause a lot of interference to getting any work done!

Reply: (edit)The only magnet in a TV are around the CRT yolk and I don't think they are powerful enough to cause any problems..

Reply: (edit)well every thing is ok so far. i also forgot to add something else. the guy that said the thing about the magnets in the tv also said something about turning a tv on sends out some kind of electrical blast and when you turn a tv off it has a whole bunch of static surrounding the tv.

Reply: (edit)Same thing with a computer monitor. If there is any magnetic interference between the two CRTs, the first thing you would notice is discolouration on the screen. I don't think there should be too much problems, retailers have been displaying television sets side by side for many years.
