Hi all again,
With my system spec in mind as it stands, would upgrading the the P4 from a 2.8 to a 3.2 make much difference. I have an oportunity to get my hands on one at a good price but my moto is, if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Thanks all

GaryM

Unless it changes the FSB, I would tend to think you would not notice that much of a difference. I'm an AMD person, so I don't know if that upgrade changes the bus speed or not.

When all else fails beat the $%!* out of it!!!

angrymen2001,
FSB is already at 800 so there would be no difference there.

OC'ing isn't my thing as someone asked me why don't I just OC to 2.3. I have a realy good stable system and I want to keep it that way.

Cheers

GaryM

Well, if it has more cache that makes the big difference. Still not worth it. The hard drive is the slowest hardware in a computer. Hit, buy 2 or 4 36GB WD Raptor HD's and set it up with raid. If you have a huge wallet go for 4 74GB WD Raptors. That will speed things up a lot.

yeah, you would barely notice the difference with the CPU, but if you go the Raptors, even 2 you would actually NOTICE a difference. amazingly fast, its so sweet, buy that instead(thumbs up). The btter deal
