I have an old laptop with no cd rom and a small hardrive. It has tv out so i want to use it to play some old DOS games. If i get an 2.5 ide to 3.5 ide converter like this one,

http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=50208026&pfp=BROWSE

would i be able to attach two ide drives to the laptop just like a regular pc?

No. The adapter allows the mounting of a
2.5 drive into a 3.5 drive bay. It adapts
the 44 pin 2.5 interface to a 40 pin IDE
plus power connectors.

What you want is reverse of this to connect
a 3.5 drive to a 2.5 drive interface.
Haven't seen one yet.

By using the adapter in you desktop you
could use it to copy the games to your laptop
drive.
