my pc? will it slow my system

i think no. it will not affect the speed of your computer since one one OS you can use at a time. We have hear a slot1 mobo, Pentium 3 processor, 256MB memory and a 20GB HDD for the hardware and windows 98 SE and windows XP Pro installed in different partition. We don't see any problem.

You need to separate them by installing on different partitions.

In most cases you put them on different partitions. They could in many cases exist on the same partition. I almost never do that.

There are good other choice for most people. You can run a (or many) virtual machine(s). Look up virtualpc and virtuabox and vmware's programs.
