Yes there are external CD drive that plug into the USB port. Just put USB CD Drive into Google and take your pick. As for learning about computers, stick around this site, there's a lot to learn. I have been using computers for over twenty years and there are still things I am learning from this site. Stuart

If you got a question that needs answering, ask one of the guys on ere. I've never really used a particular site, if I want to find out about something, I just type it into google and I usually get my answer. Read hardware reviews on www.tomshardwareguide.com and any names/phrases you are unsure of just type it into google, or ask someone here.

I also think you should consider paying a little more for a DVD burner. Most of them will burn both CDs and DVDs.
