may be coincidence, but after a router/firewall made connecting to internet directly thru a modem necessary (using 2 different computers each with updated virus/windows security patches), both machines now have keyboards where keys seem stuck.
XP toughbook laptop: has keyboard problems anyway, but tho attaching 2nd keyboard makes login possible, cannot change bios settings, etc. as the stuck keys on onboard keyboard still interrupt work.
win2K IBM Intellistation:
1 week after the XP went kaput, the sin2K started exhibiting same key stuck behavior.
Screen froze: no mouse, no ability to use shortcuts, etc. Have not yet re-booted this machine so can avoid complications before finding possible solutions, if possible.Anybody hear of this?
Thanks in advance for any info/suggestions
Would flashing bios on either/both helpPS I first posted in the security forum in an older thread -- it was suggested I start a new thread...if this should be in a different forum, pardon, but please let me know? Thanks

What do you mean by the router/firewall made connecting to the internet directly through a modem necessary? How is that possible?

I think that he means he VPN in. You need to do a virus scan, probably take that drive to another computer that is working properly, install it and do a ad-ware/spybot/av scan on it to see if it has any viruses/spyware/worms on it. Also do a chkdsk on it to see if there is any problems with the file system.
