yah, i seem to have the same problem. there are no error messages. i have 2 compaq presario computers that have the same problem. the computer turns on normally, but the mouse, keyboard, and monitor do not have power. no lights come on, on them. the computer sounds fine and seems to start normally. the one comp has XP and the other 98. they are both around 3 years old. after my research and tech support i think it mught be the power supply or the motherboard. please help!!

no, your computers don't work fine, something is wrong with them. The components inside them are burned out or defected. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do.
