Specs: Windows Vista 64, athlon 64 x2 4400+ / 3gb ddr corsair
I'm making a new system purchase, with a core i7 processor. my old power supply is has a standard atx_12v connector. the new motherboard will require an atx_12v_2x connector which is a 8 pin connector instead of 4 pins. My supplier is out of stock for this power supply for at least 2 weeks. will it be possible to use my old power supply on the new system, until i get the new power supply?
Also, i'm not doing SLI. the power supply i'm using is a coolermaster igreen 650w.

The 4-pin ATX plug *may* work, but you can't buy online or buy from a different supplier?

big problem is, i'm not on united states, i'm currently in Panama, and my supplier needs to wait those 2 weeks to get the power supplies back, at least branded power supplies and not cheap power supplies. but i guess i can stick to the one i have. hopefully it will work, since i was reading for more information, the 8 pin 12v connector is required mainly for the i7 extreme processors.
