My beloved 12 inch Ibook,Bella, is having problems. Two years ago this computer wouldn't start for me at all. The repairman said it need a new motherboard. I put her away with a sigh. When my macbook pro had problems,I pulled out Bella and inadvertently pushed her reset button. She started up and worked like a charm for two months. She was working so well I increased her hard drive,100 gig, and had a dvd drive put in. She worked even better for a month and then the indicator light showed she was on battery even when plugged in. If I pushed the cord in at the socket it worked properly. Yesterday she wouldn't start at all again. Today I pushed the reset button after changing to a different battery and a different power cord. She started up again but still had the problem with the cord. She wouldn't recharge until I twisted the power cord a little. Is the problem the battery, cord ,socket or a deeper problem in the computer? One of my favorite games,Ancient Quest of Saqarrah is on this computer and I would like to keep her going.I have other mac lap tops but this one is my favorite. She has 10.4 on her with 1 gig ram and a 1.33 processor.
