I used to holiday in Denmark as a kid :-)
I'm fairly sure that Xp only supports 4 gig of RAM, so the fact that you've got it to recognise 5.12 is strange............

You will find the the 4GB limit is not one imposed by Windows, but the CPU itself, unless you are using an Athlon 64.
As Pentium 4/AMD Athlon XP are 32 bit CPUs there is the limt. 2 ^ 32 = 4,294,967,296 or 100000000000000000000000000000000 in binary.

Whoops. Sorry, just checked. The maximum is 64 Gbs for a Pentium II and above.
The maximum for Windows is 4 GB.

You can either buy Linux or Server 2003, Linux supports stupid amounts of memory, Server 2003 allows up to 16 gig.

Linux supports up to 64 GB of RAM (memory), at least my Mandrake Linux 9.1 Powerpack does. No way my mobo will handle that. 4 GB is the max on this one (Chaintech 7VJL Deluxe Apogee). I also have Suse 9.0 Pro here (cd set for evaluation purposes only), and am not sure about that one.
