Hey, ive got some extra cash and have recently upgraded every component in my system except for my hard-drive. I am now starting to notice that it is lagging behind the rest of my comp. I've been looking at raptor drives lately and they seem very sweet, and im willing to lay down the cash for one. But I need to know a few things first-

1. What kind of computer user would get the best use out of a 10,000rpm harddrive? A gamer, graphic artist, internet browser etc...?
2. How do I know if my motherboard is compliant with a raptor drive or not?
3. If you have used one before, was it a good or bad experience?

Thanks

first of all if you have a sata hookups on your mobo then you are all good to go..( you could buy SATA dongle and hook it into your PCI slot). you are talking about the difference between 4.5 ms read and 5.9 writing, as apposed to 8.9 best case scenario so any type of access to throw to RAM will significantly improve from your hard drive.... I have installed a few and people love them.... SCSI performance at a signifigant discount.... I will be getting the new 74 GB when I can get my hands on it.
