101 Option ROM checksum error

CPU/Ram: Pentium 4 1.5 512 MB

Tried upgrading to a 128 MB Radeon 9000Pro from an NVIDIA 180-P0026-0000-B and on start up, all I get is an error on the monitor:
101 Option ROM checksum error An add-on device is not working properly.....
This Card recently came out of another Computer and was working great. I've set the AGP arperture to 256 and there is no onboard VGA plug. Is there something I'm missing?
