Why you would do that to any computer is beyond my understanding.

The beep pattern probably indicates a video problem and the computer's bios is probably based on the code for an Award bios version.
If you get no display but the computer seems to be working otherwise, that problem may be caused by a dead or failing backlight or voltage inverter, or the wiring to the display in the lid may be broken.
That MAY generate your error beep pattern.
Try plugging a monitor into the VGA port, when the computer is shut down, then booting to see if the display is then normal on the external monitor. You may NOT get the beep pattern when you do that.
