1 have pc 100mz 128meg ram chips,can i use 133mz instead

Specs: Windows me, 900
I want to upgrade ram memory in my old Compaq ME computer. It has two 128MB chips on mb
They are labled 128mb sync 100mz cl2q .Can I exchange these for two 256mb 133mz cl2 chips

I've never had trouble running 133MHz sticks on 100MHz motherboards. Any machine "new" enough to have a 900MHz processor will recognize 256MB modules.

Should work fine.

"Should work fine"

Unless the board only accepts up to 128MB per slot or the 256MB sticks are high-density & the board only accepts low density RAM. We need to know the make/model of the motherboard.
