Look let me difine my work

I want a system on which i can run multiple client server domain for my studies for that i need to run atleast 2 server and 3 client at a time on a single machine using a software VM-WARE whcih virtually run multiple OS on a single window. Therefore i need high end system.

And more over i am GAMEING phycho too.

now i have two choice and have to full fill both of my intrest.

1. HP/IBM 2.4 xeon DUAL processor. 2 GB DDR1 RAM, sata harddisk.

another option

2. IBM 3.4 intel HT processor, 2 GB RAM, sata hardisk.

And i know Xeon is a server processor but can it run all games if yes then ill go for the option #1.these both systmes are 2nd hand systems(dont consider the price issue)

Thank you

Which video upgrade slot will you have available...AGP or PCI-express?

The best AGP gaming card is the HD3850 (about $150). There is nothing better & it's highly unlikely that there ever will be.

To start with, there is no "AGP redeon ati 5500" so I can only guess what card you have. Either it's a Radeon 9500 or a GeForce 5500. Regardless, they're both inadequate for gaming in 2008, unless you plan on sticking with games that are 3-4 yrs old or older?

As for the server needs, I'd go with door #1.
