Hi. I have an xbox and wanna play over the internet with it. However, my xbox is upstairs, my wireless router is downstairs, and i do not wanna shell out for an xbox wireless adapter. I do have a laptop in the xbox's room however. Can i plug the xbox into the laptop and acess the internet from that somehow?

Maybe. The laptop would need a wireless network connection as well as a "wired" network port. Then you would need to set up and configure ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). This will allow the laptop to share it's internet connection.
Just go tot he Help and Supoprt Link in the start menu and do a search for it. There should be a tutorial.
