As we all know the xbox 360 will be released here in North America this november the 22nd. The specs are pretty good and some stores like gamestop and Wal-Mart already have it out for display, i must say for those who a played the demo on Peter Jackson's King Kong on the PS2 or Xbox the 360 Version is a hundred thousand times better, but anyway it has a Gpu in it manufactured by ATI and they say it is equal to (TWO G-Force 6800 Ultras) Waoh!!!!! Which is better to do gaming on pc or xbox 360.
xbox 360 does not require upgrading like the pc does, but in pc you can always the perfomance better please help...

i would wait for PS3, its gonna be $500 for ps3, and PS3 will use blue ray technology, it is cheap for a blue-ray dvd player since a normal blue ray dvd player cost more than $1000. one high-end video card costs as same as the whole system of xbox 360 or PS3. LOL!

also, i wonder what Nintendo will do in the future. it was pretty quiet since PS2 and Xbox came out, and the game cube wasnt as popular as ps2 and xbox. i highly doubt Nintendo is gonna just make games only in the future, no more systems, unless Nintendo can make a better system than PS3 and Xbox 360. who knows.

You can release a new console every six months, but no matter what, the PC will always be a few steps ahead of what a console can do.
also, not all the internet provider support console system. for example, Xbox Live, i dont know what that is, but i think its some kinda special internet connection for xbox. does DSL and Cable support xbox 360 and PS3?
however, many good games only available for console, unless you crack it and make it for PC. so $500 for a high-end video card or xbox 360 or PS3. which 1 would you spend the $500 on? its up to you.

xbox live is where you can download game mods,new levels,demos, new for 360(video Chat and networking) it requires DSL or Braodband which sucks cause i'm still stuck with dial-Up. i would rather spend it on a system, Highend video Card= $500(CPU not included with Vid.,Motherboard,ram) Xbox 360 or PS3=$500 Everything

Really i just wanted to know every other persons opinoin, me personaly i'd go with the console.

the ps3 will have better graphics but i think the xbox will be better cause of all it features of networking streaming media from XP PCs. And if you have a wal-mart or ebgames or gamestop go up there and play the display version of the Xbox 360 and play Call of duty 2 AMAZING GRAPHICS! Especially on those Samsung HDTV LCD

X-box live is the reason I'm sticking with Microsoft. I bought all of the previous "next gen" consoles and by far X-box is the best. The games have been better on Xbox other than Final Fantasy, but that is coming over. Xbox 360 all the way.

Personally I'd go with PC for the type of games that I play. I like to play strat games such as Battle for Middle Earth, Starcraft, Civilization, etc., games that classicly have not worked well on consoles.

I play a few FPS games too and I gotta tell you, console game play comes nowhere near matching pc play. I grab that controller for some UT and it is foreign to me. :P

Most of you seem to forget that Microsoft's big strategy with Xbox 360 is implicit support in every game for HDTV. Now, do the math. You can get a really really big (or even pretty small one) for no less than thousands of dollars (!). And that's not including the really big boys, like plasma, that are sometimes 5-digit pricetags.

Not to mention that HD is either 1080 interlaced (draws every other line every frame) or 720 progressive (every line for every frame). The "HD" is still not up to snuff compared to CRT monitors which are cheap even w/ resolutions up to 1600x1200... way higher than HDTV. These monitors have been out for years, and are still better. And since you sit closer to them, the picture looks just as big as if you looked at a 50-inch TV from 10 feet away.

Also, Xbox Live is cool (Halo 2!) but Microsoft makes you pay through the nose for it, compared to free multiplayer in most PC games. And since you can't log into any big T3 servers on XBL (only other Xboxes) you often get crappy connections.

So if you buy an Xbox 360 and an HDTV so you can put those powerful chips to work, you're spending more than what you would on a similarly-equipped PC would cost you, and for something that ONLY plays games. Stick to computers, boys.

true, that there are alot of games for the PC the just wouldn't feel right. I have plenty of games that would feel wierd to play on console like Rollercoaster Tycoon 1&2

Also i really just wanted a Regular CRT(Those big block tvs) Hi-Def those run only $700 and under. Not really bad price for hi-def.

Is final fantasy really coming to the 360 my favorite game when i had a ps2.

HDTV is great for things other than gaming for those who don't have it (skyfear). Football is amazing, and all of the Hi def channels are jaw dropping. Thanks to our veterans.

i know, but some great games are only available for console.

Yeah, I agree with the HD aspect. Although with new cards coming out with HD connectors I am in waiting in anticipation of HD support for PC games.

My ultimate vision is to have a pc totally integrated into my HD. Recent reviews I have read though will not allow this to happen at the moment. Evidently HD movie playback stinks on big screens right now. :(
