The X800XL is priced way out logic and I'd say forget it, go with the X850Pro.

Whereever you are doing your shopping, the X850Pro must definitely be over priced.

I think I am lost here, I was under the impression that you are in the market for an AGP card not PCI-E.

Here in the US, the cheapest 7800GT I found was for $200.00 (shipping included) and it was a recertified....cough....refurbished PCI-E card. AFAIK, you won't find a 7800GT card, unless all the while you've been confusing the 7800GT for a 7800GS because those are indeed available in the AGP format.

Finally, you need to thing about your CPU before buying a card, there is no point buying a card if your CPU isn't going to be at par or close enough to the performance of the video card you purchase.

I don't think he's ever gone back to 'my computing.net' & changed the CPU/RAM info to his new system specs.

I shouldn't have to do this for him, but he's been asking some many questions about this system that I almost know it as well as my own...lol. His board is an ASRock 775 Dual-VSTA & it has both AGP & PCI-E slots. CPU is a P4 D805.

Aha! the kid with meager resources ;-)

Hopefully he'll update his CN profile after this - makes it a lot easier to respond to his threads.
