Reply: (edit)Yeah, it looks like a good solid system and will be able play all current games with all whistles and bells on. However, I think 2gig of ram is overkill. Some systems often get little or actually worse performance from anything over 1gig. I'd suggest 2 sticks of 512mb. Try and get low latency ram also (cl 2 or 2.5) I also think that the sound card may not be needed as new motherboards already have integrated sound cards within them, which are of a high quality. I'd only suggest getting a sound card if you're going to be using your PC as a home entirtainment area (i.e. to watch DVDs on with loads of speakers etc.). One more thing, instead of getting the x800 pro, you could get a 6800gt at more or less the same price and it will perform better too. have a look for this stuff at newegg.com Jesus, I wrote a lot :/ AMD Barton 3200 1024mb PC3200 Ram Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb A7N8X-E Deluxe

Reply: (edit)Yeah your system will hand Bf2 fantastically. Its best to get 2 sticks of 512mb so it runs in dual channel, which 'appearantly' is better than having just one stick of 1024mb. AMD Barton 3200 1024mb PC3200 Ram Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb A7N8X-E Deluxe

Reply: (edit)You want socket 939, and an Nforce4 Ultra or SLI chipset on the motherboard. This will perform better than VIA chipsets, while allowing you to upgrade to FX-57's or dual core series CPU's down the road. I'd also steer clear of Maxtor hard drives; they aren't very reliable compared to Seagate and Hitachi. Reply: (edit)"my computer broke and unfortunatley it cant be repaired" I can't believe no one commented on this statement. As far as I know, just about anything that's broken can be fixed. I'd be interested in hearing what your problem is/was with your old PC. Asus A7N8X-X 1800+ @ 8.5 x 200MHz 768MB PC3200 2.5-3-3-7 Asus A9550GE/TD 128MB WinME/WinXP Pro

Reply: (edit)im just about to order it, i changed the motherboard to a "ASUS AV8 Delux NW A64/939/ K8T800PRO/NO WIFIG/A&GL/ATX". Also changd the hard drive to a "Seagate 200G SATA150 7200RPM 8MB HDD". So is this ok now to order? and also my computer IS fixable but id rather buy a new one since my old one is too outdated and why spend money fixing it when i can get a new better one?

Reply: (edit)Dude, get an Nforce 4 Ultra motherboard. Performs better. In Asus, that would be the Asus A8N-E. "Republicans in Congress are moving to ratify a constitutional amendment to ban flag burning, thus ending the Iraqi insurgency."

Reply: (edit)Also make sure the CPU is also socket 939, and don't bother getting the DVD-ROM and CD-RW, you can get a DVD writer for the same price as both of those together.
