Subject: World of WarcraftOS: Windows XPCPU/Ram: p4 3ghz, 512mb RamModel/Manufacturer: Packard Bell |
Comment: Im having a lag problem with world of warcraft. The frame rate drops to 8-18fps when outdoors. I guess its the ram that is slowing the system down. The rest of the system appears to be above the recommend spec. Would upgrading to 1GB of ram solve the frame rate issue? any advice would be helpful. Here are my specs: Intel Pentium 4 3.0Ghz 512Mb DDR RAM ATI Radeon 9600 XT 160Gb HDD 8mbps DSL connection.

Reply: (edit)512 won't be enough for any modern game. MedalOfHonor (released 2003) uses about 850MB memory. The vid card is also too short. I have the same on an old computer, and it cannot stand recent games, even at low graphic settings. GigaByte 3D Aurora Asus P5WDHDeluxe Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2GB DDR2 Twin2X 800MHz nVidia GeForce 7900 GTX

Reply: (edit)lol i have 512 mb and i can play WoW fine even on high details and i only had (now have a good game card) the card that came with the comp and it runs fine. WoW is prolly the most easiest game to run out of all the modern games out.
