Hi:
I'd like to put Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory on my old laptop for play on trips, ect., but I'm not sure my system has enough oomph to run it. The sys requirements for WolfET (which ID says are a "guideline"), call for a P3-600 and 128MB RAM. Will my P2 power the game on the lowest settings, or will it just not work? One last note, the laptop's graphics are Chips&Tech 6555PCI-2MB.

Thanks!

No chance. My old P3 450 used to run Wolenstein Ok on low settings, but that had a Voodoo3 in it, which was a markedly better card than yours.

You can try, but I don't hold out much hope for you, sorry :-(

Some people are like Slinkies, not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs...

If it's no big thing to do an uninstall, go ahead and give it
a try. Since ET is based on the Quake III Engine, there's
always a chance that it could run, albeit on lower settings.

If you're feeling adventerous try it out and let us know
how it goes.

OK...crossed fingers & tried it out. Install went ok, but when I launch the game, I receive an error message saying the game was unable to initialize the openGL subsystem. As I'm running Win 2K, this shouldn't be a problem, right? Is this related to the age of the integrated graphics, or do I need to download a third-party OGL driver?

Thanks!
