Does anyone use a wireless mouse for gameplay? Is it reliable or are they only for just regular use?

Yes i do!

I play counterstrike, which uses carefully controlled mouse movement.

Mine works perfectly and have no complaints what so ever.

I would actually suggest that you do get a wireless.

Actually I recommend against using a wireless mouse because when the battery runs low you WILL feel the effects and I'm tellin you from experience you'd wish you stop having to replace the damn batteries every once in a while.

For gaming I would recommend an Microsoft's optical intellimouse, which is very accurate, no ball and BEST OF ALL, you don't need to replace the batteries EVER (it doesn't have any).

I reckon cordless mouses are suitable for less intensive tasks like word processing etc. Gaming requires precise movement and the availability of a RELIABLE power source, so that you don't have those embarassing moments on-line.

At the end of the day it's your call.

Hope that helps.

I use a wireless mouse too "Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo", I like it and I really don't think changing batteries is a big deal when compared to the inconvinience of moving wires all the time.

In my case I got a recharger when I bought the combo and always use rechargable batteries so I am not inconvinieced by the batteries going low anytime.

But like Kev said "At the end of the day it's your call".

Goodluck.
