I Havent bought the system yet and am not sure if it will be running windows xp ( maybe windows me, still undecided cause i still want it to play some of my older games ) but will the following run either battlefield 2 or half life 2?

now im not really too bothered by graphical capability i just want to know simply will i have trouble installing and running either? even at their lowest settings

Is that a typo?? You don't even need 256MB, let alone 512MB. Get a 128MB card. How about a 6600GT 128MB?

I don't get this statement:

That is probably THE most important thing when it comes to gaming.

Windows ME? Why would anyone want to run that?!

Do a dual boot with XP and Windows 98 SE to maintain your backwards compatibility if that's important to you. Easiest way to do that is have two hard drives in your system, one for XP, one for 98.

*shudders* WinME...horrid OS!

Man i haven't seen PC specs in this forum including a 56k modem in ages, don't they use them as landfill now?

It's worse than a 9200SE...9200SE's actually work for SOME things (granted, it's all 2D stuff, but still). lol...
