Yeah it will run acceptably at those settings. I run bf2 at 1024x768 on medium settings with a frame rate of around 40-60ish. I think you might struggle at those settings due to your graphics card and lack of ram perhaps.

We can't tell because we only know you're running a "2.2 GHz" CPU. What kind? Celeron? P4? Athlon? What?

My 1.8Hz CPU runs it great! But I have an Athlon 64. If you have a 2.2GHz Celeron, you're probably not gonna be able to run it acceptably even on low detail.

Well, he has a 'A7N8X-X Motherboard', so its probably a 3200 Althon.

Thanks, didn't notice the mobo in his sig, but it would have been nice to know it is a "2200+" or an actual 2.2GHz CPU.

Hey HaVoK,

I see you have the system manufacturer listed as CyberPower. Specs are somewhat similar to my rig, so it should run pretty good...lol. How would you rate CyberPower? Any probs or are you generally happy with them & your rig?

hey heropsycho
i have a AMD 2800+ overclocked to 2.2 GHZ
i can go higher but havent tryed.

and jam
i think cyberpower is cool how you can add anything to your computer and no probs yet i had my PC for about 6 months, i got it really cheap too, about $900.

also i can play half life 2 at 1024x768 in high settings and get around 70 fps and also in doom 3 on high but around 40 fps

I have heard people say when they take off the shadows it increases game porformace , is that true?

but i am worried about my RAM, its a DDR400
PC3200, i might need to get another 512MB stick

I decided to have a look at that setup at Cyberpower. You must have made some of your own changes. I know this is just a "fantasy machine", but why would you choose that motherboard? or a plain CD-ROM drive? and if you were gonna spend that kinda money, why not go for the 7800GTX?

theres more to the Pc, i just gave you the basics...also if you try to make the best PC ever on there website its going to be around $4000 (that means power protection, mouse, case, fans, next day shipping, professional wirering, windows 64bit editon, games, and little things will add up to be around $4000)

thanks for the Battlefield 2 messages, my Pc will run it, and a computer that can run doom 3, should be able to run BF2

"a computer that can run doom 3, should be able to run BF2"

That's not necessarily true. I experimented with different cards & DOOM3 played reasonably well with a GF4 MX440 64MB video card. DOOM3 was designed to be playable on a greater number of cards...BF2 set the video requirements MUCH higher
