Not too long ago, I updated my HP Pavilion from a 512 Megs of RAM to 1.25 Gigs. I did this so I could run Star Wars Galaxies better when 50+ people are fighting.
But when I went and tried to play Aliens vs. Predator 2, I found to my horror that my game played ... jittery. It was not a smooth frame rate at all, and trying to look around only made it worse.
Doom 3 kind of starts out this way, but improves the more you move the mouse (acts like you have to warm it up first or something).
I recently bought GTA 3 for PC because ... it was 10 bucks, and I wanted to play it. Low and behold, its JITTERY when you try to look around! I don't understand this ... optimum system requirements for it is something like 256 megs of RAM! I have FAR more than enough!
I also have an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 2.08 GHz processor and and ATI Radeon X800 PRO graphics card. And it PERSISTS on doing this to me. WHY?
One person recommended I adjust GTA3 to work on an older operating system since it wasn't necessarily made for XP. I did this. Might have improved a bit, but it was far from perfect.
Another friend of mine suggested I had TOO MUCH RAM. How is it even possible to have too much RAM? This elludes me. But in any case, I'd LOVE you guys' suggestions in fixing my problem once and for all. PLEEAASSEE!?
