You just asked about this yesterday. I posted links about notebook graphics...did you check them out?

Of the two notebooks you listed, I'd say go with the HP due to it's higher clocked CPU & much better graphics.

The 8400M-GS processor runs at 400MHz & the memory runs at 600MHz. It only has 128MB & the memory interface is 64-bit. Not a great gaming choice.

The 8600M-GS processor runs at 600MHz & the memory runs at 700MHz. It has 512MB & the memory interface is 128-bit. It is a MUCH better gaming choice.

Hey mate, I just researched for 2 weeks solid to find a good laptop, and the Hp was in my final 2. The graphics card is not actually that good, although it is not labeled as a gaming laptop anyway. I would go for the HP anyway, as it is better, but dont forget that after a while all the bells and whistles of the laptop will not be that important. If you want a better laptop at a cheaper price, check out the gateway NX860XL- it is great I just bought it instead of the HP!!
