Neither are very good for gaming & 256MB is unnecessary.

I believe the X300 is a PCI-Express card (only) & is bottom of the line in the Radeon X series.

The FX5700LE is available in PCI or AGP, but not PCI-Express.

1st thing you gotta do is find out what video upgrade slot you have available on your board (PCI, AGP, or PCI-e)...as for the 2 card choices, I wouldn't consider either one of them.

i prefer ATI to Nvidia, and the 256mb is not important, so i would use the radeon. i have bad compatibility and reliability issues with nvidia

argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours

I agree with lonelywolf, go for the ATI and start kicking a**es. Actually the X300 will be my next video card.... I hope soon!!
