If you want the EVGA geforce 6800 AGP, try look for it in

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/eVGA-GeForce-6800-Video-Card-128A8N343DX-/sem/rpsm/oid/113639/catOid/-13011/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do

$149 after rebate... Also the 6800 AGP can unlock 4 additional pipeline and 1 vertex shader, resulting similar to 6800GT level.. If you mean Battle Field and not Battle Field 2, 6800 is more than enough for it. But BF2 at highest details, then 7800GTX is better... $749.99 is little bit too much at this point... Maybe you should think about a 7800GS or 7800GT for $299 instead...

This is an older review on F.E.A.R (should be similar to BF2).. The 7800GTX is only 256MB... And it does not have the 7800GS, but should be similar to 7800GT level.. As far as power source goes, power supply should be rated 400 watt or more for 6800 and 450 watt for 7800GTX... If you planning to run SLI setup, 500 watt+ is the way to go... If you want the highest end gaming rig, try upgrade ur 3800+ dual-core to FX60 and run it with 2x 7800GTX 512MB...

40GB 540RPM + 120GB 7200RPM HD
128MB Radeon 9500 mod 9700 @ 360/585

Easy Dude !!!

Having money to literarily burn should not be an excuse for mindless profligacy.

The GeForce 7800 GT 256 MB would pair up with that CPU quite nicely. As you guessed, it would definitely be in your best interest to get a beefier and better PSU to protect your investment.

The FX-60 is not going to be on an enthusiast's price/permance short list when shopping for components but this is a trait carried over from its sibling so no big deal. You seem to me like someone who wants the best components money can buy and even though it may seem un-necessary, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that attitude.

The FX-60 also has a few cons, it's power hungry, and hotter than the previous FX series and it is not a good overclocker. Now with the exception of the heat comment, the other two should be very much inconsequential to you.

Arguably the best card at the moment is ATI's X1900XTX in case you are still in the market for a video card and for the PSU, grab the Turbo-Cool 510 ASL to protect your investment.
