Hi, i would like to install a agp graphic card which would play me hl2 and doom 3 etc.At a low price...Id like to spend £120(210 dollars) on a agp card but which one?? Ati,nivida?
I don't have HL2 but I do have DOOM3...it's not as graphic intensive as you may think. I've experimented with a few different cards & it's quite playable with a GF4 MX440 64MB card (lowest settings). The graphics were much better with an GF4 Ti4800SE 128MB card, & a Radeon 9550 128MB card is slightly better than the Ti4800SE. I didn't run any benchtest comparisons...just "real feel" testing
Judging from the number posts about SIMS 2, that's the game to be more concerned about...lol.
BTW, I currently have my 9550 overclocked to 350/400MHz, which is better than a standard Radeon 9600. Not bad for a $60 card!
