Whats the problem with this computer?

Specs: Windows Vista
I have an Compaq Presario SR5120SC Desktop PC. (Note: I have changed the Hard-drive and DVD Player.)
And I recently a few days ago I reformatted it.
First I reformatted to Windows 7 x86. After a while I realised that my PC only has drivers for Vista, and it supports x64. (It came originally with Vista to)
Even though, when I tried to play games, such as Company of Heroes, which my computer is above recommended hardware. It runs slow as hell and loads forever, its not playable. And I had 1 out-of-date driver for Display.

I reformatted again to Vista x64. This time, all the display drivers are up-to-date, but its the same result when I try to play Company of Heroes.

Driver Detecive says my NVIDIA is out of date, Driver Navigator says its up to date.
I have downloaded the driver from NVIDIA homepage, and the homepage says its up to date. I doubt the problem lies on this.

THIS might be a problem. But I want to know what the experts think here.
I have 1 gig ram. DDR2. And Vista req like 800mib at all times. Task Manager shows a stable usage of 800mib. That leaves me with 200mb for games correct?
Company of Heroes wants 1gig. And i believe it means for the game itself, not including what your PC uses. So problem could be that I dont have enough RAM
But that dont really explain why it was the same problem when Windows 7 was installed. But then again, I couldnt install the driver update for a Display Adapter. (Not NVIDIA, some High Accelerator update)

What is the problem here? Anyone ever had the same?

DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E4400, 2000 MHz (10 x 200)
Dual DDR2 SDRAM, (1gig RAM)
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS

You have to hunt down each driver individually & install them. Your system uses the P5LP-LE (Leonite2) motherboard. You'll need drivers for the following:

Chipset = Intel 945G / ICH7DH
Graphics = nVidia 8400GS
Audio = Realtek ALC888S
Network = Intel 82562V

So what you need to do is search at Intel.con, Nvidia.com & Realtek.com.

I don't know why you would want to run Vista 64-bit, especially since you only have 1GB RAM?

Here's the 8400GS drivers:

Vista 64-bit / Win 7 64-bit

Vista 32-bit / Win 7 32-bit

vista drivers works perfect in win 7. Company of heroes is old game but 8400gs can't handle it. At that time (2006) video cards struggle to run it. Add more memory and install a decent v-card.
