Depends on the apps you're running. Games for example don't benefit currently from dual core. Will they next year? Who knows? "What will amd be coming out with? I expect AMD to improve their technology. How? I would expect further improvements on dual core since it's not perfected yet. Irregardless, whatever they release next year won't be price effective. You will probably be looking at 1M cache Athlon 64's, FX55's, FX-57's, and today's dual cores as moderate priced products. The improved dual cores will be cost prohibitive.
