question says it all.

i have this slot in my pc that's on a riser card. it looks at first like a pci-express slot, but it has plastic notches in it. here's a pic:


what kind of graphics card can i put in this slot?

How old is that PC?

I remember seeing proprietary slots on risers for multimedia and communication cards (mpeg decoders, modem/sound combo cards, TV/capture cards, etc.) on some really old Compaq and IBM systems (1993-1997).

I doubt that slot is for a video card. If it's an older PC needing a video upgrade, you could install a card in the PCI slot that's directly above the weirdo slot.

scrap the whole idea.

i decided to just toss out and start from scratch.

i bought a new mobo, more ram, and other stuff, and now i got
windows 7 64 bit with 6gb ram :D :D :D

if it helps any, a little googling revealed that it was a pcie
1x/ADD2R slot o.O the machine is from 2005-ish
