Reply: (edit)3com and Intel are the best quality NIC's. They tend to do more calculations within themselves instead of forcing your CPU to do it. They're of course more expensive, too. But to be honest, you probably won't see any difference for gaming. MCSE, MCSA Messaging, baby!

Reply: (edit)Like I said, it probably won't matter any. I'm meticulous about what I use in my system. I'd be using the Nforce2 NIC except it got blown to hell somehow in a BIOS flash. So I use a Netgear. For gaming and doing broadband internet, as long as it's not USB, you won't see really any difference. I was just referring to technically which NICs are the best. MCSE, MCSA Messaging, baby!

Reply: (edit)yes.. 3com and intel are the most prestigious. they have higher end/server nics and have been around alot longer than linksys/netgear. A+ Certified MCSE soon
