How about this. You do most of the work, shop around, check reports, decide on the best 3 or 4 machines you can find within your budget and post the links or detailed specs on each one and we will comment on them and suggest some possible adjustments to them or the component choices if you go with a place that has that type of options.
Please remember that we do not do this for money and we are only here trying to help people out in our spare time so you need to do the grunt work first and then we can help you.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

$1500 is NOT cheap. If you're capable, you can build a decent gaming PC for about 1/2 that much. You'll have total control over the hardware, not stuck with what a manufacturer thinks is best for you.

Tom's Hardware puts out a builder's guide several times a year. They list specs for a budget gaming build ($700), mainstream build ($1300), & high performance gamer ($1750). There's plenty of wiggle room to lower the prices even more too. For example, do you already have a copy of Windows? do you need/want 2 graphics cards? a blu-ray burner? water cooling? or high priced case? If you were to mix & match some of the components, you could conceivably come up with a high end build for about $1000.
