i have a hp pavilion xt919 i want something that i can play games with but nothing too fancy. i would like to upgrade my processor because it is a 800mhz celeron someone mentioned that a pentium 3 is compatible with the motherboard or something i was wondering if there is anything better for a reasonable price available evrything about my computer is stock except the hard drive and the ram i have a 80gb and i hav a 512mb stick of sdram in with the stock stick of 128mb please help me and please post prices because i am a high school student with a limited budget thank you in advance

go to hp's website or search for your machine on google to find your motherboard. Then find what socket is on your motherboard that currently connects your processor.
Then go to the link below and in the search categories select the appropriate socket connection and select intel as the manufacturer type, that search should bring up all the available processors to fit your current motherboard.

A personal opinion...any computer with a company "twist" on it ie HP, winfast etc can only create more problems..particularly when upgrading...and particularly when th OS cd is not supplied or even asked for..so many times do i hear this...

if you want a new computer...BUILD IT YOURSELF
