there are two standrard USB ports on the front of every PlayStation 2. what are these for???

The usb keyboard that you can get for it and also you can plug in your own usb controller. You can also find keybaords with controllers build in to them.

It's also used for the Eye Toy. Basically it can be used for just about anything as long as it comes with the appropriate software to run it.

They are also for the headset to socom 1 2 and 3.
