Comment:

I don't know where to start. Alright my monitor seems to shutoff when I start playing a game well actually two of my games Tremulous and Unreal Tournament 2004. I can run any other program or game so far without any problem but with these two games, this strange phenomenon keeps happening? any insights. Well if that doesn't help you figure out my problem I will also tell you this. It doesn't do this right away. I could be about 20 or 30 min into the game or 10 and it just abruptly shuts my monitor off. If you can help it would be appreciated.

Does your monitor shutoff or does your video card stop sending a signal?

"My monitor shuts off"

Are you 100% sure about that? In other words, the game is still playing & you can hear the audio, but there's no display on the screen? Can you just switch the monitor back on again & continue playing? Does the LED on the monitor's power button go completely dark or does it change colors? If the only way to get the display to work again is to reboot, the monitor's probably not the problem.

And it doesn't help that you have zero info listed for your computer. You don't even know the CPU/RAM? Try right clicking on "My Computer" icon, then click Properties...what's listed under "Computer:"?

How about listing the make/model of your HP...surely you know that? It should be printed right on the case!

Sorry about not posting that info bro :/. That should have been first priority but I think I have solved my issue. I think if I run into anymore trouble I will poke my head around here and give out better info next time :).
