Warcraft doesn't start

Well, I bought Warcraft III Reign Of Chaos, and when I started it, it won't! The screen stayed white, then I pressed, CTRL+ALT+DELETE a few times, it started, and another problem, the game doesn't fit to my screen, it doesn't show the full screen, the left part is a bit chopped... But when I screen shot it, its normal...
Please help,

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.50GHz
1.00 GB of RAM
Running on Windows XP
I know, its a piece of crap

Your specs far exceed the requirements. Warcraft 3 is over 6 yrs old & *should* play very well on your system.

Whats the patch? what does it do? sorry i'm a noob...

EDIT: okay, I downloaded the patch, used it, nothing has changed, only when on the first menu, theres writing of the version on bottom right...

reinstalling is almost always a 100% super easy fix for problems like this. try it and let us know afterwards
