Hi, ive been searching the forums and to try and find a fix to my problem, unfortunatly doesent seem to be happening to anyone else. the game installs perfectly, when i press "play warcaft 3" the picture of the orc guy on the front comes up with warcraft 3 in the background as should happen usually, then i get an error message saying "please verify your warcraft 3 cd is in the drive" !! this is a burned copy, is that why it wont open? why would it install perfectly and then not open >.< the cd key is correct.
It's just the disc protection and it looks like it's working. The easiest way to make a backup of your original copy is to use a virtual drive program, that way it can bypass most of the disc protections and also verifies that a friend ain't just burn you a copy of his.
im sorry to say this tp everyone who reads this message but windiws vista is very bad for gaming next time get an windows xp for instance i have 512mb ram pc and it cant handle rome total war while my uncles 230mb ram windows xp can handle rome total war smoothly. Also if you look behind the game case of warcraft 3 it says 98/me/2000/xp NOT VISTA so if i was you do not upgrade anything but only when you have a chance to upgrade it to windows xp and also warcraft has torun smoothly on the pc you have you rpobably have a disk problem try re installing the game. And also it could be becasue of the graphics card which may not support the game. What is it?
Thanks pgckkwvdzm and jam, the problem is this is the only copy of the game i have, i cant reburn or use the origional copy. is there any way of disabeling the protection? why would it install pefectly and then not let the game open?
and tezel: my computer runs quite smoothly, i dont think thats the problem. ive reinstalled the game around 3 times now. ugh!
hey all im also havin the problem as in my computer installs it ok but it wont actually run as it says no disc. i am usin a laptop with vista any ideas why im havin such problems. my copy is also an original not burnt. any help wud be appreciated.
