I bought Warcraft III a while back, right after it was released, and the expansion set, the frozen throne. They ran excellently on my computer, and proved to be an excellent game. I recently purchased a newer, faster computer, and I am having trouble installing Warcraft III on the new machine. It installs fine, when I enter my CD-Key, it installs without error, as for the expansion pack. But when I open the game, and press the Battle.net button, it gives me an error message reading "CD-Key is Invalid" and then gives me a "Cannot Connect" error message every other time I try to connect to that gateway. This occurs with both Reign of Chaos and The Frozen Throne. I have a perfectly legitimate copy of both, and I had no problems with my CD-Key on my old computer, can anyone help me with this?

Not familliar with the ins-and-outs of that game, but sounds like someone else is using your CD key too.

This could be because someone has used a CD-key generator, which happens to have randomly generated your key, therefore the server thinks you have a pirate copy, when you haven't.

My only advice would be to contact the game publishers. They will usually want some proof of purchase (sending the game and CD key or a reciept/invoice to them in it's box or something) they should issue you with a new key.

did u have to register for the game and enter a cd key on your account? if so remove the cd key and then try and go online then re insert the cd key in your account..... that is if the game registration works like that.

reinstall the game, it happened to me before, then i've realized that i entered the cd-key wrong between the 2 and the z. and the o and the 0. but i can still install it. but couldnt play online. then i reinstall it then it works fine. battle.net doesnt just check your WC3 TFT cd keys, it also check the original wc3 cd-keys.
