I don't know if this is the right place to ask or not but here goes.

I have a friend that is into army / war type games but only has a older p2 computer somewhere around 300/350 mhz with 256mb ram.

Can anyone suggest any games that will work decent on this old of a rig?

1GB DDR 2700
nVidia 128mb FX 5200

Almost could run on your buddy's machine, but no dice. That's a 5 year old game now, and can't run on that old a machine.

Red Alert?

Command and Conquer 1?

Good luck...

Starcraft might be able to run, if you upgrade to 500mhz its almost certain to.

I'll have an Athlon XP 2500 motherboard, CPU, Fan in the next month to sell for $20. Why replace really old stuff with slightly less really old stuff?

Because around here it's hard to find used stuff for cheap.

Alot of the stuff I buy for cheap I end up putting together a machine and either giving it away or selling it dirt cheap to get the money back for parts invested. My only payment is experience.

Also around here a 2500, mobo, and hsf for $20 is a unheard of deal unless one of the main components are toast.

"Army Men" and "Army Men II".

There are a couple of older submarine games, "Silent Hunter" and "Aces of the Deep".

How 'bout the older A-10 airplane games?
