I have an ECS KN1 Sli Extreme mtherboard. It has 2 pcix. When i bought it from newegg it said it was x16, but its running at x8, I have a 6800xt which is x16 . I would this effect my sytem gaming?

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ ClawHammer
ECS SLI Extreme
2 gig Corsair Value ram
Geforce 6800xt256 pci-e
WDC 80g

You do not have PCI-X, you have PCI-E...they're 2 completely different things.

Did you install the motherboard chipset drivers & the latest drivers for your video card?

If your mobo runs SLI at 8X,you would have like 15% performance decrease wich is not much but it counts.If it's a 2x16 SLI make sure you have the latest drivers instaled because the motherboard auto detects SLI video setups
