Hi
Many of my video games from various
manufacturers will begin to install but will hang
somewhere during the installation. My computer
doesn't freeze and I can cancel the installation
but it will just sit there for hours without moving
forward past a certain point. This occurs with most
games, including newly released games I try to install. This
happens when I try to install GTA4, Fallout 3, Crysis Warhead,
etc.I turned off the UAC in Vista Ultimate. Other than
that I have AVG free antivirus installed and no
other security products that I can see that would
cause problems. I have even ran the installations
in Administrative mode but the problem continues
to exist. I think it's something in Vista, maybe
DEP but that usually just shuts the program down
if it's activated.I really don't know what could be causing it.
Thanks for your time and kind help.

Firstly, just want to check and make sure that you're certain your system meets the minimum requirements for this game. Secondly, do you have two CD/DVD drives? All of the games you mention contain SecuRom which causes huge problems for people with two CD/DVD drives as SecuRom immediately sees the second drives existence as an attempt to pirate a game (ridiculous I know). If you scan your system, including viewing hidden folders, you should find SecuRom there. If it is and you have two drives, contact the games distributors to see if there is a way to install and run the games despite having two drives.
